This workshop will be a success for me if I become knowledgeable enough about all of the tools on the 'find someone who' sheet in order to share with teachers and students.
We were communicators when negotiating our central agreement and sharing thoughts with our online class community (padlet and participant page). We were caring when we helped each other understand class content and helped each other with technology issues. We were reflective when posting thoughts on padlet and when thinking about how technology has changed learning at school. I also felt like a risk taker in signing up for an ICT class as it is an area of weakness for me.

ThAt global collaborative projects can coNnect students in an authentic and meaningful way. There are so many to explore and I can't wait to start this with my students!
section 8 : how I have used technology to support reflection /self assessment
I created a class blog with guiding questions, videos, images that students reflected on. I've used raz-kids.com for reading assessments where students could record their reading and I would give written feedback to them. my students worked collaboratively to create slide shows on Google docs that included reflections. For the 6th grade exhibition, all students created an individual website which linked to their group website in order to organize their exhibition work. We used an online comic maker called Pixton.com for an English summative assessment task which the students really enjoyed and were able to produce creative and excellent work.
I learned about using blogs for the exhibition, goanimate for short movie animations and different ways of organizing online portfolios.
