In this session we will inquire into the purpose and philosophy of ICT in the PYP 

Lines of inquiry:
  • The current status of our schools' integration of ICT
  • How ICT is represented n the IB mission statement
  • The role of ICT outside of the PYP


Question: What is the current status of our school's integration of ICT? 

Engagement
  • Read page 43 of Making the PYP Happen (Role of ICT section) in the Online Curriculum Centre (OCC).  Also read pages 1-5 in the new Role of ICT in the PYP document. 
  • Choose 1 sentence or idea that is significant for you from these documents, either positive, negative or controversial. Post that sentence and an explanation of why you chose it to Padlet Please include your name at the top of your post.

Question: How is ICT represented in the IB mission statement?

  • Please review the mission statement of the IB (p.2 Making the PYP Happen or http://ibo.org/mission) keeping in mind the role that ICT may play to help achieve this mission. How could ICT be represented in the mission statement?
